Daytrip Society is a destination for those inspired by the romance of nature and the adventure of travel, founded by native Mainers and ardent daytrippers Jessica Jenkins and Andy West. Located in Kennebunkport, Maine, the boutique features a unique mix of gifts, home décor, gear and hand-crafted treasures that blends modern design with the outdoors to fulfill your inner wanderlust, while also protecting that which it celebrates- in addition to carrying myriad green and organic lines, Jessica and Andy also raise awareness for and donate to local nature conservatories such as the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge and the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust.
After several years working for a major record label in New York City, Jessica and Andy returned to their home state to open a store that would inspire people to get out into nature, and bring nature into their lives. Located in the center of Kennebunkport’s Dock Square, Daytrip Society is a resource for daytrippers of all kinds, carrying a mix of eco-friendly and utilitarian items for a day of adventure (Patagonia gear, Sigg bottles, Lexon binoculars), as well as beautiful ways to bring the outdoors in (Ivana Helsinki’s graphic nature designs, Oiva Toikka's glass Iittala birds, silkscreened animal pillows from Salvor). Jessica and Andy are also committed to supporting local and emerging designers, and carry a large assortment of artwork and artistry including the Sea Bag recycled sail totes, beautiful hand-loomed throws from Swan’s Island Blankets and Insect Labs' antique gear-fitted beetles and butterflies. And finally, a large collection of books, games, guides and crafts ensure you won’t leave uninspired.
We look forward to seeing you and hearing about your latest explorations in our store. Enjoy!
Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.
